Frequently asked Questions

How does
reDreamAI work?

Our AI guides you through three steps:
1. You write down a nightmare
2. You create a new ending for the story
3. You imagine this new story daily.

By practicing this, you learn to feel self-empowered instead of feeling helpless.

Yes, it is that simple 🙂

Who can use reDreamAI?

reDreamAI is designed for adults who experience nightmares, regardless of how frequently they occur. Whether you face recurrent nightmares (the same or similar themes repeating) or completely different nightmare topics, reDreamAI can help.
Using the Imagery Rehearsal Therapy (IRT) method, reDreamAI is effective in reducing both the frequency of nightmares and the stress caused by them. No matter the type of nightmare, this solution empowers you to take control and improve your sleep quality.

Is reDreamAI suited for people with PTSD ?

If you suffer from PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), our app can be used alongside your therapist, but it is not currently available in a self-help format. For individuals with PTSD, it is recommended to address both the trauma and nightmares under the guidance of a qualified therapist.
Nightmares associated with PTSD often involve re-experiencing traumatic events, and managing these nightmares can sometimes trigger flashbacks. For this reason, therapy provides a safer and more effective approach.
However, recent studies demonstrate that Imagery Rehearsal Therapy (IRT) – the method used in our app – can significantly reduce both nightmare frequency and PTSD symptoms. We are actively working on expanding our app to better serve PTSD patients in the future.

Can children use reDreamAI?

Although children experience nightmares more frequently than adults, they cannot directly use our app at this time. However, parents and caregivers can learn how to apply our method with children using a self-help version that doesn’t rely on the chatbot.
Detailed guidelines for helping children will be included in the app’s educational materials, making it easier for parents and caregivers to support their little ones in overcoming nightmares effectively.

How often should I use reDreamAI?

Studies have shown that, it is helpful to imagine your rewritten dream for two weeks. Imagine the new story everyday for a few minutes. Use our daily reminder to stay in the loop. After two weeks you can continue with another dream rescription. Use reDreamAI for as long as it feels good to you.

What can I do if I don’t recall my dreams?

If you can’t remember your dream in detail, but still have the feeling of a nightmare, you can write down your emotions. Just write down as much as you remember. That can also be thought-like and does not need to be a concrete dream content. In the next step, you will rewrite this to a story that you like, assisted by creative AI.

Is the information that I share treated privately?
